Love a good mojito? Here’s a how to make a Bacardi Mojito. A great summer cocktail, but you can have it year around if you like.
You can read about the history of mojito if you are interested in learning about this Cuban drink.

Mojito Ingredients
Here’s all you need to make a mojito –
- 2 ounces Bacardi Superior Rum
- 2 tsp fine sugar
- 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
- 2 oz club soda
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- ice

Tools Needed
How to Make a Bacardi Mojito
- Place the mint leaves, fine sugar and lime juice in a highball glass and lightly muddle.
- Add ice & rum.
- Stir.
- Top with club soda and stir lightly before serving.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and limes.

Tips & Tricks
You can replace the sugar and use a Mojito Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 10 mint leaves
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Mix the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil until the sugar has completely dissolved and the syrup has thickened, about 5 minutes. Strain the simple syrup through a sieve to remove the mint leaves and lime wedges. Let the syrup cool to room temperature. This can be store for about a month in the fridge.
Then muddle the lime juice, 1 tbsp simple syrup, 3 mint leaves and rum. When you muddle, it is to release oils and flavor.
Use a cocktail shaker.
You can get a good mix when if you use a cocktail shaker. Pour over ice and top with club soda. Our favorite cocktail shaker. Use a pitcher if you plan to serve Mojitos at a party or small gathering of friends. However, we recommend muddling your Mojito in a cocktail shaker. The shaker’s narrow bottom creates maximum agitation during muddling.
Make it frozen.
Place all the ingredients except the ice in a blender. Blend smooth. Add 1 cup ice and blend until it reaches your desired consistency for your Bacardi mojito.
One of my favorite dishes to enjoy with this cocktail is pork carnitas.
