As you build your home bar what are some the essential home bar liquor you should have? You should have the basics and not go overboard until you figure out what you like making and what you don’t. However you can’t go wrong with the basics. Then you can add stuff like the bitters, syrups and such if you like.

Don’t forgot the glassware. I recommend basic bar drinkware for your bar. A little thing that can make a the presentation of a great cocktail. These glasses with make you ditch solo cups and leave them for the family gatherings for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

There will be a time when you feel like you can level up on making cocktails. That’s when you are going for quality liquor and learning advanced techniques such layering drinks with your bar spoon and applying the fancy lingo.
