Derby Mint Julep

The Kentucky Derby is this May. I can’t think of a better cocktail than the Derby Mint Julep.

Ingredients

• bourbon 
• mint leaves 
• simple syrup 
• ice

How to Make a Derby Mint Julep

In a short glass add mint a muddle. Add syrup. Top with ice and bourbon.

Garnish with mint sprigs.

Notes

Tip for less sweet - use 3/4 ounces of syrup.
